KeptStay is in early development. Right now keptstay.com does two things with personal information: it keeps a waitlist, and it measures how people use the site. This page explains both in plain terms. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
The waitlist
When you join the waitlist we store your email address and the date you joined. We use it to send you a welcome email, short product updates, and a note when KeptStay opens. We don't sell it, rent it or share it for anyone else's marketing.
Every email has an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops all waitlist emails straight away. We keep your address marked as unsubscribed so we don't email you again by mistake, unless you ask us to delete it.
Analytics and session recordings
We use Umami, which we run ourselves, to count page views and see where visitors come from. It doesn't use cookies. It records the page, the referring site, your browser, device type and an approximate country and region worked out from your IP address. Your IP address isn't stored.
For a sample of visits, Umami also records how the page was used (scrolling, clicks and mouse movement) so we can see where the site is confusing. Recordings last at most five minutes, and text typed into forms, such as your email address, is masked before it leaves your browser.
Who helps us
- Maileroo sends our emails.
- Contabo hosts the servers that run the site, the waitlist and Umami.
- Cloudflare provides our domain's DNS.
They only handle what they need to provide that service to us.
Your choices
To see what we hold about you, correct it or have it deleted, email support@keptstay.com. We'll reply within 30 days, usually much sooner. You can also block analytics with any ad or tracker blocker, and the site keeps working.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, tell us first. If we can't sort it out, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Changes
When KeptStay launches as an app it will handle more, such as your property records. We'll update this page before that happens and change the date at the top.
